Neurologist Neurosurgeon wanted - enjoy a work life balance in Canada

The VSCAN, operating out of the Ottawa Carleton Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital is currently seeking another Veterinary Neurologist to add to the team to support our expanding Neurology and Neurosurgery Group.

The VSCAN runs as a four doctor neurology, neurosurgery, digital imaging, and anesthesia service with board certified specialists in Neurology and Anesthesia as well as a certified MRI/Digital Imaging Technologist, an intern and a resident. We are looking for another neurologist to join our growing team.

We have all the toys to help you succeed - including a high field MRI (1.5T with unique small coils for small patients), multi-slice CT scanner, ultrasonic aspirator, electro-diagnostics, class IV laser, and have on-site CSF processing as well as a laboratory. We take pride in our highly skilled and dedicated support team of Registered Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants. We understand how a veterinary neurologist needs to be supported. We work as a separate entity designed to support veterinary neurology and neurosurgery to give you a work life balance while supporting your patients  within a purpose built facility with appropriately trained staff. 

We are looking for individuals who will be completing neurology residency training or boarded neurologists who want to practice medicine at the highest level. A successful candidate will strive to provide the seamless high level of care that our patients, their owners, and the primary veterinarian have come to expect. We value the positive relationships we have nurtured with our referring hospital base and work as a team to maintain our outstanding reputation in the community which keeps us busy performing 2 to 6 procedures daily. We are the only neurology practice within the area and we are the only practice with a high field MRI and a veterinary anesthesiologist to ensure your cases get the best possible outcomes.
