The Pet Emergency Clinic and Referral Center in Spokane, Washington is seeking a veterinary oncologist to join our busy and growing emergency and specialty hospital. We are the largest privately held, veterinarian-owned emergency and specialty practice in the Inland Northwest.
Our emergency medicine department is currently staffed by seven experienced emergency veterinarians including a board certified criticalist and an abundance of fully trained support staff (licensed veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, kennel attendants and a full reception core). The emergency department is open 24/7/365. We work closely with and highly value our referring general practice veterinarians in the community.
Several specialty services are housed in the hospital and include internal medicine, emergency & critical care, surgery (Veterinary Surgical Specialists, www.vssspokane.com), and radiology (Inland Empire Veterinary Imaging, www.ievetimaging.com). There is a part time dermatologist in our building (Dermatology for Animals, www.dermatologyforanimals.com), and an extension of Washington State University offers veterinary ophthalmologists and a veterinary dentist located just a few minutes from our clinic.
The hospital has an in-house diagnostic lab, digital radiography and ultrasound. Access to specialist ultrasound, CT, and flexible/rigid endoscopy is available on weekdays. We also have an on-site blood bank.
The Pet Emergency Clinic and Referral Center is located within a recently constructed facility that won the 2017 VetEcon/360 Design Award for Specialty Hospital of the Year.
We are looking for an individual who seeks to provide exceptional quality medicine and to elevate the medicine we provide as a hospital, and who can help to cultivate positive relationships with our referring veterinary community. We value work-life balance and a positive work environment.
We are looking for a full-time oncologist. Applicants must be: residency trained or board-certified with the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine for Oncology. Starting salary is negotiable but considered highly competitive for the region. We offer full benefits including: dental and health insurance, disability and liability coverage, professional licensing fees, a CE allowance, 401K, paid vacation, and reimbursement for moving expenses.
