VCA Highlands Ranch Specialty and Emergency is a growing 24/7 Emergency and Specialty Hospital. We currently offer 4 specialties services including:Internal Medicine, Surgery, Advanced Dentistry, and Oncology.
We are looking to hire a full-time swing shift veterinary technician in our ICU and Emergency Department. Technician duties include but are not limited to: venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory procedures, patient care, medication administration with all routes, appropriate, frequent and concise medical record documentation, appropriate and accurate patient history taking, knowledge of general anesthesia and sedation monitoring including adverse reactions and responses, knowledge of common animal diseases and processes, safety protocols and procedures of radiology including limits and landmarks for appropriate radiographic images, knowledge of CPR, and comfortable in client education.

• Pharmacy

• Compassionate care for hospitalized patients

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have documented previous experience
• Hold a current CVT license
• Must have surgery experience
• Flexibility in hoursthis position is for swing and overnight shifts
• Customer service skills
• Working knowledge of computers
• Excellent communications skills
• Capable of being cross-trained as receptionist and kennel assistant
• Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments
