Second internist - 24hr ER/Specialty Practice, Medical Director position available

The Veterinary Medical Center in Syracuse, NY is in search of a second Internist who can work alongside other specialists to provide collaborative care in a positive, collegial manner. The VMC is currently a 18,000 sq ft hospital (with plans for expansion under way) that offers 24 hour emergency in addition to Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Radiology, Cardiology, Nutrition and Critical Care. In addition, within the VMC exists CARE, a complementary rehabilitation and pain management center.

We offer state-of-the-art equipment (16 slice CT, ultrasound, advanced multi-parameter monitors, new scopes, upgraded anesthesia equipment), and are eager to hear what more we can do to help the make your position fulfilling and rewarding. Attached to the VMC is an IDEXX reference laboratory, which enables accurate test results with a fast turnaround time for hospitalized patients. The Internist will be responsible for providing consultations on an appointment basis, scope procedures, bone marrow aspirates and, although not required, ability to perform abdominal ultrasounds.
