Full Time Cardiologist - Florida

The Veterinary Medical Center at Lakewood Ranch is a new stand-alone veterinary hospital that opened in November of 2019.  Our hospital is privately owned and located in a fast growing community about an hour south of Tampa and 20-30 minutes from the famous white sandy beaches of Sarasota and Anna Maria Island.  Lakewood Ranch was recently named one of the top growing planned communities in the United States and our region was voted one of the best places to live in America!  If you love golfing, wildlife, the beaches, arts, nightlife and shopping, you will love living here!  

Our General Practice has been open since November of 2019 and consists of a team of 6 doctors.  Our Emergency Service is slated to open 24/7 in November 2020.  We are looking to add a board certified Cardiologist to our team to see cases from both our General Practice and Emergency Service, as well as referrals from our community beginning November 20, 2021.  Our new 10,000 sq foot facility will be completed in 2022.

Our hospital is designed to be open and spacious.  We are well equipped with the latest in diagnostics and treatments.  We have brand new equipment including full anesthesia monitors (HR, RR, CO2, O2, temp. etc), doppler, central oxygen, ICU oxygen units, Heska fluid pumps, digital radiology with telemedicine, ultrasound, in house blood machines (cbc, chem, u/a, pt/ptt, iSTAT, lactate, and more), a new cardiostart defibrillator, companion animal laser machine and much, much more.  CT will be added in 2022.  

We have veterinary technicians on staff that have extensive experience working in emergency and specialty medicine.  Our hospital is well known for its approach to customer service and our team is truly focused on providing the best veterinary care possible.  We have a positive work environment!  We are proactive when it comes to developing a connected team who looks out for each other.
