VTH Director

The College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (CVMBS) at Colorado State University (CSU) is seeking a Director for the James L. Voss Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH). The VTH serves as a regional primary and global tertiary care referral center for Small Animal, Exotic Animal and Livestock services. It is a major pillar of our CSU Veterinary Health System (VHS) which includes our medical, clinical, diagnostic, continuing education, and other health service operations within CVMBS. It is located on the CSU South Campus adjacent to the Johnson Family Equine Hospital, Diagnostic Medical Center and Translational Medicine Institute, which comprise the Veterinary Health Complex (VHC). This juxtaposition of educational, research and service facilities provide a unique opportunity to advance veterinary and allied professions. Additional growth plans of the VHS include a primary care facility and educational complex, which are in early development. Other components of the master plan include evolution of the current small animal VTH into a tertiary care clinic and the development of indoor/outdoor spaces that support a greater sense of community and wellbeing, along with a “doggie day care” facility. The VTH director is expected to play a significant role during this exciting next phase of growth, with the opportunity to significantly impact our future direction and will be critical in maintaining the premier reputation of Colorado State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences as a top-tier institution. We are seeking a dynamic, innovative, service-oriented individual with excellent communication skills to fill this role.

We intend to recruit for an Associate/Full Professor rank level (or eligible for) but the VTH Director position is primarily administrative in nature while the individual occupies that position.
