We are seeking a small animal Director of Specialty Medicine (IM, Surgery, Anesthesia, Radiology, Cardiology, additional specialties as we grow) to join and lead our current team of Specialists and Associates. Our team includes a range of specialists who practice high quality medicine in a busy environment with a focus on patient, client and referral community care. We have a strong focus on education with our well-established in-house technician training and CE program and an emergency critical care residency and internship program.
Duties to Be Performed:
Lead, Manage and hold Accountable the veterinary specialists of CCVS Buzzards Bay
Maintain consistent standard of care across specialties
Specialty Recruiting - interviews, recruiting events (15% travel to conferences/events)
Clinical case responsibility with 60% of time as clinician within candidate’s specialty
Manage specialty departmental budgets and specialist compensation
Education Desired:
Board certified by one of the American or European College of Veterinary small animal clinical specialties
Previous Experience Desired:
>3 years post residency in clinical SA practice
