Live Oak Veterinary Specialists is seeking a second neurologist to add to our growing family.  We are a family owned, family operated, and family-oriented practice dedicated to offering veterinary neurology and neurosurgery services of the highest caliber to our clients, patients, and referring veterinarians.  Quality of care for our patients and quality of life for our teammates are vital to our practice.

In house capabilities include 1.5T GE MRI, CT, Electrophysiology, EEG, CUSA, cranial plating, etc.  Our facility also houses specialists in Small Animal Surgery and Oncology.  After hours care is provided by an emergency service also housed in the same facility.

Compensation packages are salary based with production bonuses paid out quarterly and no negative accrual.  Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, uniform/clothing allowances, CE allowances, paid vacation, 4 day work week, 401k with corporate matching, practice liability insurance, dues, licensure, and more.

The ideal candidate will be board-certified in veterinary neurology; however, completion of an accredited residency in neurology is sufficient.  Joining our team means that you are able to communicate effectively, timely, and respectfully with other team members, our clients, and our referring veterinarians.  Proficiency with basic neurosurgical procedures (hemilaminectomy, ventral slot, etc.) is required and additional advanced neurosurgical training can be provided on-the-job or through continuing education opportunities.  The ability to read MR imaging and perform spinal taps as necessary is also required.

Savannah is a wonderful place to live!  Outdoor activities abound.  There are cultural and art experiences available around every corner.  Savannah was named one of the Top Cities in the US by Travel and Leisure Magazine for 3 years running and is known as the ‘Hostess City’.
