As the only 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital in coastal North Carolina, we have a high caseload of critically ill and injured patients. Our team is expanding, and we are looking to hire an internist to join our team. If you have always wanted to create your dream job at the beach, this is your opportunity to do so in a collegial and collaborative environment.

Our team consists of 7 full-time emergency veterinarians who work in conjunction with specialists in surgery, sports medicine and rehabilitation, ophthalmology, and radiology.  We are in a 15,000 square foot facility with plans for expansion. We are equipped with 2 digital radiography units, ultrasound, a 4-slice GE CT scanner, flexible endoscopy, two Snyder oxygen cage banks (5 cages), full in-house IDEXX lab systems, arthroscopy, and a ForceTriad Electrosurgical Unit.

The right individuals will have a strong desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and team-oriented environment with a focus on excellent patient care and communication with clients and referring veterinarians.  Our focus is to provide the highest quality of care to our patients and clients while maintaining a balanced quality of life.

Wilmington is located on the southeastern coast of North Carolina and boasts multiple island beaches, a beautiful historic downtown riverfront, a thriving cultural and arts scene, great restaurants and shops, multiple craft breweries and distilleries, and numerous opportunities for outdoor activities, including biking, kayaking, surfing, boating, and fishing.
