Experienced Cardiologists, third year Cardiology residents - are you looking to work at a fun, collaborative emergency/specialty practice that focuses on providing high standards of care as well as promoting you to maintain a good quality of life? The Veterinary Medical Center in Syracuse, NY is in search of a Cardiologist who can work alongside other specialists to provide collaborative care in a positive, collegial manner.  Third year Cardiology residents are welcome to apply.  The VMC is currently a 18,000 sq ft hospital (with plans for new hospital build under way) that offers 24 hour emergency care in addition to Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Cardiology, Radiology, Nutrition, Anesthesiology and Critical Care.  In addition, within the VMC exists CARE, a complementary rehabilitation and pain management center.

We are looking for an individual to help build a Cardiology service in an area of high demand.  We provide strong support for the learning and introduction of new services, enabling an individual to create a unique niche that suits him or her both professionally and personally.  We offer state-of-the-art equipment (GE Vivid ultrasound dedicated to Cardiology, 16 slice CT, Dextronix 12 lead ECG), and are eager to hear what more we can do to help the growth of the team. Attached to the VMC is an IDEXX reference laboratory, which enables accurate test results with a fast turnaround time for hospitalized patients.  This individual will be responsible for providing consultations on an appointment basis, receiving hospitalized cases transferred from the Emergency Service, and limited after hours on-call responsibilities for emergency cases.
