Upstate Veterinary Specialties, PLLC is a growing, privately-owned, multispecialty referral and emergency practice located in upstate New York. Our hospital, central to the Capital Region around Albany, and has a broad referral base reaching several areas throughout upstate New York, western New England, and more.
Our leadership, administration teams, doctors, and medical staff work together in a collaborative environment to achieve our mission - helping pets live longer, happier lives through expert medical care and compassionate client service. We are a large team of dedicated professionals and take pride in being a leader in comprehensive specialty and emergency healthcare for pets.
Due to our increasing caseload, we are seeking a seeking a second internist to join our existing team of board-certified specialists including:
· Critical Care
· Internal Medicine
· Rehabilitation/Physical therapy
Our clinicians are supported by highly educated licensed veterinary technicians, including one VTS (cardiology), assistants, clients relations specialists, and administrative staff.
This year, UVS has completed an addition to our custom-built, 40,000 square-foot facility that has enhanced our ability to provide excellent care while maintaining a comfortable work environment for all services. Internal Medicine has 3 dedicated exam rooms, a 450ft2 workroom for diagnostic evaluations, and a 450ft2 procedure suite with two stations for video endoscopy, all with easy access to treatment/ICU. Diagnostic imaging is also located immediately adjacent to Internal Medicine. The hospital expansion also includes a radioiodine treatment facility for your hyperthyroid patients.
Our hospital is equipped with multiple advanced imaging modalities, including a 64 slice CT scanner with power injector, fluoroscopy, 2 abdominal ultrasound suites, digital radiography with Asteris PACS, and a 1.5T MRI. The service is supported by a 24/7 ICU with two criticalists, a full in-house laboratory, and canine/feline blood bank. Any additional equipment necessary for a state of the art Internal Medicine department will be considered.
Our hospital is located near Albany, in the state's Capital Region. The area includes the cities of Albany, Saratoga, Schenectady and Troy.
