Job Description:
Palm Beach Veterinary Specialists seeks Radiation Oncologist
Palm Beach Veterinary Specialists is accepting applications for a full time board certified or residency trained Radiation Oncologist to provide clinical services and support for our multi-disciplinary, specialty practice in West Palm Beach, Florida. The successful candidate will be expected to provide oncology consultation and treatment services, and to further the development of an established program. The Department of Oncology and Internal Medicine is supported by a double-boarded Oncologist (Medical and RT), two Internists (capable of providing ultrasound services), two (third surgeon arriving in 2021) Surgeons, certified canine rehabilitation technician, a Hospitalist and an Emergency and Critical Care Service. There are on-site MRI (1.5T), CT (8 slice) and a new Linear Accelerator (Halcyon). In addition to working with our team of specialists, the successful candidate will be expected to develop professional relationships within the local and greater veterinary community as well as provide continuing education and training to in-house support staff and local veterinarians. This position is full-time, salaried and has the potential for production-based compensation. The hospital also offers a generous, self-directed benefits plan.
Palm Beach Veterinary Specialists was established in West Palm Beach in 1998 and has developed from a mobile surgery service into a full-service, multi-disciplinary, specialty-only practice. We reside within a new 32,000 sq. ft. physical plant (operating 24/7/365) that boasts an in-house national reference laboratory and a blood bank. In addition to clinical services, the facility houses a 125 seat auditorium, conference room and meeting hall that is used to provide continuing education programs for veterinarians and para-professionals. We are a very integrated practice that utilizes a team approach to case consultation and management. Our doctors work closely to provide optimal patient care, careful client service and open dialogue with referring veterinarians. The Chief-of-Staff and hospital owner is a practicing clinician with a commitment to delivering quality and value specialty veterinary medical services.
West Palm Beach is located on the southeast coast of Florida. The area is blessed with year-round pleasant weather and beautiful beaches. Urban, suburban and rural living all can be enjoyed within close driving distance to the beaches and hospital.
