VCA Aventura Animal Hospital located in Aventura, FL is looking for an Medical Director to lead our well established team! We are offering a sign-on bonus!
No Medical Director experience required. We are looking for a Veterinarian Doctor (DVM) who wants to take their career to the next level!

Our busy hospital has served the community for many years and offer a wide range of services to help care for our clients.
The Medical Director (MD) Veterinarian is responsible for establishing the medical quality and patient care practiced by all doctors in the hospital. The MD, DVM achieves this through strong leadership and serving as a mentor and role model for the associate veterinarians and staff.
A Medical Director should demonstrate a strong work ethic, integrity, and a consistent positive attitude. This is an outstanding opportunity to continue practicing medicine while establishing the direction and medical quality of the hospital like an owner would, but without the risks of ownership. Plus, you'll have the solid backing of experts in Operations, Marketing, Human Resources, Payroll, and more, to help you succeed.
VCA Aventura is located in the multicultural city of Aventura, a suburban town in northeastern Miami-Dade County, Florida. Aventura is just a quick car ride from all the popular destinations known in South Florida; South Beach, downtown Miami, Coconut Grove and Ft. Lauderdale just to name a few.. The city name was created from the Spanish word for adventure and offers just that. Aventura offers everything one could ask for: beaches, shopping, fine dining, golf, museums and more….Don't take our word, come check it out for yourself!
The unique qualities of this hospital include the special equipment we have available such as ul trasound and dental xray . We have a great variety of expertise on our team, from novice up to 10 years of practice experience. We have a very spacious and beautiful hospital. We offer home delivery, have great wellness plan s for the clients, and can offer grooming, medical services as well as boarding at our resort.
We are open 6 days a week and therefore, can ensure scheduling to accommodate a flexible, f ull-time or part-time scheduling .
We are less than five miles from the beach and there are a lot of activities to do in this vibrant city of Miami such as golfing, dining, swimming, diving, dancing, and just relaxing. We are at a prime location in Miami , where you will be surrounded by a multitude of eateries, shopping mal ls and plazas. This is a very affluent area that also has very affordable surrounding cities such as Hallandale Beach, Miami Gardens, and North Miami. There are many options for children's schooling opportunities and daycare facilities
