Job Description:
Are you looking to be a part of a dynamic hospital team, while having the support and resources to push yourself?
VCA Veterinary Care Animal Hospital & Referral Center, or just VCA VetCare to our friends, is located 5,312 feet above sea level* in beautiful, fun, and (if you ask us) highly underrated Albuquerque, New Mexico. Our hospital is growing by leaps and bounds and we are currently seeking experienced technicians to join our Internal Medicine team!
Why You Should Consider Us?
At VetCare, your passion for medicine and compassion for pets and people is matched with a commitment to your professional growth.
What will you achieve?
As a member of our Internal Medicine team, you will assist board-certified specialists in delivering cutting-edge diagnostics and treatment- including ultrasound, CT, and endoscopy- to patients with exceptionally challenging medical issues. Looking to advance your knowledge of anatomy, biology, and medications? This is where it happens. Interested in helping administer complicated courses of treatment? That is extremely IM.
Most importantly, do you want to help pet owners figure out the treatment that finally makes their pet feel better? This. Is. The place.
What are we looking for?
The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine starting from the NURSING staff-with the expertise and technical expertise to make them happen. You should have the ability to function well within a team dynamic, working alongside a variety of personalities in a fast-paced environment. In addition, you should be solution-oriented, and seek continued growth and improvement, both as an individual, and as a team. You will be dependable and timely, with flexibility in scheduling, up to and including weekends and holidays. Ideally, you will be credentialed or equivalent experience, but we are willing to train the right candidate, as we have a successful training program and access to 1000's of training resources! What specific skills are we looking for?
Professional benefits include:
• Receive free access and training from the Reassessment Campaign on Veterinary Resuscitation (RECOVER) initiative all the way through the hands on practical assessment!
• Opportunities to give back through strong Shelter partnerships and VCA Charities
• Opportunity to teach and mentor
• Competitive wage exceeding local standards
• Medical, Dental, Vision insurance, 401(k)
• Life and Long Term Disability insurance
• $750.00 CE allowance per year (Credentialed Technicians)
• A pair of Winks Scrubs for everyday of the week you work.
At VCA we are committed to diversity, equity and inclusion and want to be a place where a diverse mix of talented people want to come, stay and do their best work.
