Veterinary Emergency + Referral Center of Hawaii (VERC) is an advanced 24-hour veterinary emergency and specialty hospital. Our dedicated board-certified specialists and highly-trained emergency professionals provide a collaborative approach to veterinary medicine. Supported by our newly built, 17,250 square foot state-of-the-art facility with a USP-800 compliant oncology suite and advanced diagnostic equipment including ultrasound, endoscopy, digital radiography, 128-slice CT scan, the state’s first veterinary MRI, fluoroscopy, and in-house laboratory, we offer the most comprehensive and progressive patient care on the Hawaiian Islands. Our exceptional staff includes specialists in critical care, internal medicine, neurology, surgery, oncology, and radiology, as well as experienced emergency veterinarians.

The successful candidate for the position of Oncologist will be board-certified or an individual who is residency trained, motivated, and energetic. We are looking for someone who fits in well with our team, stays up to date with changing medical guidance in their field, and has strong communication and interpersonal skills. We emphasize a collaborative approach to medicine and our specialists, emergency doctors, technicians, and client care staff work very closely together with our referring veterinarians to provide great care to our patients and their human companions.

VERC is part of the Ethos Veterinary Health network of hospitals, providing our clinicians the opportunity to be part of a larger network of hospitals, but still maintain our distinctive identity. The focus of Ethos is on advancing veterinary medicine, along with providing high quality, compassionate care, which improves the lives of patients and their human companions. Our advancements center around three main areas: Transformative Science, Knowledge, Collaboration.
