Who We Are:

Bellevue Veterinary Emergency & Specialty (Hospital), located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest just a few miles from downtown Seattle, was founded to provide world class compassionate veterinary care to our patients and their caregivers.  This care extends throughout the support team to provide an exciting, fun, diverse, and inclusive work environment.  We love pets and we love people! Bellevue Veterinary Emergency & Specialty is looking to welcome a Full-Time Chief of Specialty (1.0 FTE) to our new team and brand new hospital opening in the spring of 2023!

Our Culture and Team:

We believe in hard work, but not at the cost of a healthy work life balance.  Ample time off and a flexible work schedule will allow a great opportunity to explore all that Washington has to offer. Our core values—do the right thing, fun, wow service, respect, and learning—guide everything we do at Bellevue Veterinary Emergency & Specialty.

When you join our team, you will be working closely with our Medical Director and founder, Dr. Christopher Lewis. Dr. Christopher Lewis was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. In 2000, he graduated from Princeton University with an A.B. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. He then attended Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2005. Upon graduation, he moved to Atlanta, GA to complete a rotating internship at Georgia Veterinary Specialists. While Dr. Lewis’s passion resides in the challenge and variety of emergency medicine and surgery, he has worked in general practice and was the medical director at a successful primary care hospital in The Woodlands, TX.  Most recently, Dr. Lewis was the medical director at Animal Emergency Clinic NE in Humble, TX.
