Capital City Specialty and Emergency Animal Hospital is seeking a board-certified or -eligible internist (2) and cardiologist to join our hospital.

CCSEAH is a new, purpose-built specialty hospital in Ottawa, Canada’s capital city, opening in early 2023. We are looking for two internists and a cardiologist to join our current surgery, dentistry, dermatology, and medical oncology teams. We will also be searching for criticalists and imaging to complete our specialty teams.

The successful candidate will work a 4-day week with no after-hours or weekends. There is ownership potential for the right candidate, and compensation and benefits are competitive and can be discussed on an individual basis.

Ottawa is the capital city of Canada and has all the benefits of a large city, but with a small town feel. Ottawa is one of the best cities to raise a family in Canada, and was rated as the seventh healthiest city in the world to raise a family, based on the cost of housing, schools, attractions, quality of life, crime, and pollution; and Ottawa was ranked second in another study of the best Canadian cities to raise a family. There are world class museums, art galleries, performance arts, and restaurants, as well as an active craft brewery and distillery scene. The city boasts numerous festivals throughout the year and has the longest skating rink in the world. Ottawa is also home to many professional sports teams, including the Ottawa Senators and Ottawa 67s (hockey), Ottawa REDBLACKS (football), Ottawa Blackjacks (basketball), Atlético Ottawa (soccer), and Ottawa Aces (rugby). Outdoor pursuits abound with water sports and fishing on the Ottawa River and the many nearby lakes; hiking and biking in the nearby Gatineau Hills and many other local recreational areas; and cross country and downhill skiing, snow shoeing and skating in and around Ottawa during the winter. Ottawa is also only 2 hours away from Montreal and 4 hours away from Vermont. No matter whether you are single or wanting to raise a family, and no matter your interests and passions, Ottawa has something for you. You can live in the city or the country and still be only a 30-minute drive or less away from CCSEAH.
