Central Hospital for Veterinary Medicine (CHVM) in Connecticut seeks a Residency Trained veterinary cardiologist to join our growing specialty and emergency hospital. CHVM is the first facility of its kind to serve the veterinary referral community of Connecticut.  Built as an Emergency Center in 1974, we have since opened a 20,000+ sq. ft. state of the art 24-hour facility in North Haven and expanded to a second location along the shoreline in Guilford, CT. CHVM is a VECCS level 1 facility with 24-hour emergency care and specialty departments which include internal medicine, anesthesia, critical care, cardiology, radiology, surgery, exotics, medical oncology, ophthalmology, and physical rehabilitation. We have over 32 full-time doctors and a well-trained, motivated support staff. Our hospital is committed to providing a high level of medical care for our patients while fostering a healthy workplace for employees, including the recent addition of a staff wellness coordinator.

Our cardiology service is equipped with a GE Vivid E9 and GE Vivid IQ echo units with transesophageal capability, two GE Mac HQ 5500 HD electrocardiogram units, a fluoroscopy suite with a Philips Veradius fluoroscopy unit and a well-stocked inventory of interventional equipment, Alba Holter monitoring system with 13 monitors, and both Medtronic and Infiniti pacemaker interrogation units. Both of our intensive care facilities include Fukuda Dynascope telemetry with simultaneous monitoring of up to 4 patients in each location, biphasic defibrillators and Snyder oxygen cages.

New Haven is a small but vibrant city famous for its pizza, with numerous excellent restaurants and a diverse arts and culture scene.
