Mountain View Animal Emergency is a privately owned, 24-hour emergency, small animal hospital located in Hagerstown, Maryland. In April 2021, we moved into our brand new, state-of-the-art 16,000 sqft facility. Our new hospital includes 18 exams rooms, integrated Cornerstone/Smartflow software, 4 surgical suites, a dedicated Intensive Care Unit, as well as specialty rooms for CT, endoscopy, ultrasound, etc.

Our current services include a 24/7/365 Emergency with the plan to expand into specialty services including (but not limited to) Surgery, Internal Medicine, etc. That’s where you come in….

Your Position: We are looking for a Board-Certified, or Board Eligible, Internal Medicine Specialist (DACVIM) to join our team.

You will be the founding internist for our newly expanded hospital with the support of our Emergency Doctors and Licensed Veterinary Technicians. We are looking for someone to pioneer our specialty department and make it flourish in collaboration with our current hospital as well as new referral clientele. With an array of diagnostics:  CT, digital x-rays, electrocautery, in-house pharmacy, Aesculap vessel sealer, full lab, and ultrasound, you will have the tools and support you need to make the lives of your patients better. Also, you will have the ability to choose the additional tools and instrumentation needed to practice your craft to the best of your abilities.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
• Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (DACVIM) or Board Eligible with expectation of taking boards in the next year.
• Active Maryland License or ability to acquire one Strong Interpersonal skills with a desire to mentor and foster growth of the entire team.

The outdoor enthusiast would enjoy being minutes from the Potomac River, Appalachian Trail, and our variety of seasonal activities. Our hospital is also located within 3 miles of the Pennsylvania state line and 12 miles to the West Virginia state line.
