Full-Time Veterinary Neurologist (No Non-Compete Agreement)

Locations: Richmond, VA & Frederick, MD

Partner Veterinary is seeking a veterinary neurologist (board-certified or residency-trained) for each of our two new Emergency, Urgent Care, and Specialty hospitals; one located in Richmond, VA and the other in Frederick, MD. We are seeking team members who are eager to join our team and mission of healing the veterinary profession! Both hospitals are opening the summer of 2023.

Position Summary

As a Partner Veterinary neurologist, you will utilize your unique expertise to diagnose and develop treatment plans for patients with neurological diseases or disorders. With our team-centered approach, continual collaboration with the ER and other departments is necessary to both provide and receive support. Daily responsibilities will vary but may include a blend of scheduled appointments (including imaging, procedures, and/or surgeries) and consults from other departments, including the ER.

Partner Veterinary operates under the oversight of two Chief Medical Officers, Dr. Emma Evans – Boarded Criticalist and Dr. Anne Abernethy - ER Doctor, both of whom will be working clinical shifts alongside the team.

  • GE 16 slice Helical CT Scanner
  • C-arm fluoroscopy
  • In-House Lab Equipment
  • Digital Radiology
  • Digital Cytology
  • Ultrasound
  • Multi-parameter anesthetic monitoring equipment
  • Smartboard technology
  • Integrated EMR and digital treatment sheet software

Requirements:

  • A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics
  • Professional demeanor and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Maryland or Virginia
  • Board-certification or residency-training in neurology
