Job Details

We are currently seeking a second neurologist/neurosurgeon to join our team at Animal Emergency & Specialty Center (AERA) in West Caldwell, NJ.  This is a FANTASTIC opportunity to walk into a very busy, established neurology and neurosurgery caseload in one of New Jersey’s premier specialty centers in a very desirable location.

From its humble beginnings as an after-hours emergency clinic in 1977 AERA is a state-of-the-art hospital with specialists in Anesthesiology, Cardiology, Critical Care, Dentistry, Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Radiation Oncology.  We recently moved into a brand new, beautiful 45,000 square foot (!!) facility just down the road from our current location.  With on-site MRI, CT, Varian Halcyon, C-Arm, and other state-of-the-art equipment our doctors have everything they need to practice superior quality medicine.

Fairfield offers some of the best that New Jersey has to offer.  Want to live in the city? New York City is just 25 miles away and an easy reverse commute.  Looking to live in the country?  The Kittatinny mountains and lakes of northern NJ are minutes away.  Love to travel?  Newark Airport is only 1/2 an hour away.

AERA provides a positive work-life balance with excellent salary and benefits.  We offer paid time off, relocation, a 401K with matching, and a very generous CE allowance.

If you are passionate about Neurology and want to be part of a team committed to advancing veterinary medicine, please send your CV to

Amanda Shultz, Amanda.Schultz@nvacompassionfirst.com for immediate consideration.

Company

Compassion-First and NVA recognize that we share deep-rooted values and priorities. For years, our dedication to Specialty and Emergency medicine has been a common background.

Our groups have long shared the belief that the best patient care comes from championing hospitals in their local communities and supporting the practices and culture that have made them successful. We believe in empowering veterinarians and their teams with deeper resources so they can do more of what’s already working.

Combining our strengths gives us the opportunity to make a lasting and positive impact on the profession, our people, and the care of animals.

This is The Power of Us. Great medicine comes from great people who band together for the momentum to grow, flourish and practice advanced care.

As one of the only dedicated Specialty and Emergency groups in the industry, NVA Compassion-First is the trusted partner of hospital teams who are looking for more—more resources to advance their medicine, a greater sense of belonging, and increased opportunities to care for their patients, clients and people.
