Mountain View Animal Emergency is expanding to offer specialty service.  We are a privately owned, 24-hour emergency, small animal hospital located in Hagerstown, Maryland. In April 2021, we moved into our brand new, state-of-the-art 16,000 sqft facility. Our new hospital includes 18 exams rooms, digital radiography, ultrasound, GE 16-slice Lightspeed CT scanner, a dedicated Intensive Care Unit, as well as specialty rooms for endoscopy, ultrasound, chemotherapy, minor surgery, and 4 dedicated surgery suites.

Your Position: Veterinary Internist (Residency Trained)

We are actively seeking specialty services for our well-established and growing emergency hospital.   We have all the support you need to pioneer our internal medicine department and make it flourish in collaboration with future specialties.   You will be the lead internist for direct referrals and advanced procedures along with the support of our Emergency Doctors and amazing staff. We will work with you to ensure a sensible daily caseload and on shift schedule to allow you to focus your best efforts on your patients and clients and receive much needed down time away from the hospital.  We have all the tools you need at your disposal, and you will have the ability to choose additional equipment that allows you to practice to the best of your abilities. Being a privately owned practice, there isn’t a board or large corporate structure to navigate.  We are here and ready to support building this department together.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent)
  • Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (DACVIM) or Residency Trained
  • Active Maryland License or ability to acquire one.

The Benefits:

  • Pro/Sal compensation structure $ 200K to $ 300K base salary
  • Flexible Schedule
  • 25% production bonus paid quarterly with no negative accrual.
  • Full health, vision, and dental insurance
  • 401k retirement plan with up to 4% company match
  • Personal and CE leave
  • Generous pet discount
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Large continuing education allowance
  • Moving/signing bonus
  • ACVIM membership
  • VIN membership
  • License and professional dues
  • Most importantly, our unmatched work environment
