Veterinary Neurologist/Neurosurgeon - Houston, TX

Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists (GCVS) is currently seeking a 4th Neurologist/Neurosurgeon to join our team.   GCVS values innovation and individuality at the practice level while recognizing the power of collaboration.   We are looking for an individual who shares our passion for advancing medicine.  

Our 60,000 sq-ft hospital has a 1.5 T MRI, 64- slice CT, a Varian Halcyon radiation therapy system capable of advanced radiation therapy modalities as well as an Interventional Radiology Suite. We currently have specialty practices in Surgery, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Radiology, Diagnostic Imaging, Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, Radiation Oncology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology and Allergy, Avian and Exotics, Cardiology, Behavioral Therapy, and Anesthesiology.  In addition to the specialty services, we have a 24/7/365 emergency service with a team of dedicated ER doctors and Criticalists.

We enjoy the camaraderie between specialists that a large practice affords, and support each other in the pursuit of practicing the highest quality veterinary medicine.   With a focus on education, we have an active intern, specialty intern, and residency program, and there are abundant opportunities to interact with the general practitioners in the area through monthly rounds meetings and our annual symposium.  

Our Neurologists enjoy a dedicated support team including 5 LVT’s, 6 technicians, 1 human trained MRI technologist, 3 client service coordinators and 2 specialty interns.
