Job Details
The Northeast Indiana Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital (NIVES) is a busy 24-hour multi-specialty and emergency referral hospital located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated medical oncologist to join our growing team who will thrive in and contribute to our collaborative, team-focused hospital!
Our highly equipped hospital (CT scan, digital radiology, echocardiogram, ultrasound, endoscopy, and laparoscopy) is the largest AAHA hospital in Northern Indiana and the only Level II Certified Critical Care facility in the state. Our referral base covers a large region including northeastern Indiana, northwestern Ohio, and southern Michigan. We are a progressive, team-oriented, family-friendly practice that emphasizes high-quality medicine and compassionate patient care. Our professional staff includes board-certified specialists in Surgery, Cardiology, and Internal Medicine. In addition to our specialty services, we have 9 experienced doctors whose practice is limited to emergency & critical care. We have hired a criticalist that will join our team in July 2024. We are also opening our urgent care center later this summer. Moreover, we partner with a local boarded veterinary radiologist for telemedicine consultation. Our very talented staff of RVTs & assistants is committed to excellence and helping them as efficiently as possible. NIVES also prides itself on being a teaching hospital; we host 10-12 students annually from all over the world.
Fort Wayne provides the best of both worlds with all the amenities of larger cities but with the cost of living in the Midwest. Enjoy suburban living in our unique location which means you are only 1.5-3 hours away from major metropolitan areas like Indianapolis, Chicago, Cincinnati, or Detroit. We have a thriving downtown with local farm-to-table restaurants, breweries, musicians, arts community, and more. A family-friendly city with great schools and great property values that allow you to get more home for your money.
