Veterinary Specialty Hospital of San Diego – North County is seeking a full-time Criticalist to join our 24/7 Emergency and Specialty Referral hospital in San Marcos, California.  

 

We are looking for an experienced board-certified or board-eligible Criticalist to support our hospital on a full-time basis. We are seeking a team member who has excellent interpersonal skills, desires to be a team player, is interested in expanding/growing the department, can accomplish a high caseload, and possesses strong time management skills.  Our emergency department has grown steadily over the years, and with our continued expansion, we are looking for an individual who desires to lead and continue to grow the department, joining our current criticalist. 

 

­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­We have 4 ORs, digital radiography, 128-slice CT, multiple ultrasounds, and a 1.5T MRI.  We have recently added 5,700 square feet of space to our location, and we have plans to move/upgrade our facility to a >30,000 square foot facility in 2025. We also have a full team of 10+ ER doctors, a robust internship program, 18 specialists, and a social worker for our clients and team.

Compensation: We offer an extremely competitive compensation package including a large sign-on bonus with relocation. Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The annual salary range for this position is $120,000 to $300,000. This position may also be eligible for other variable pay programs. Additionally, we offer access to career coaching, financial advisors, and mental health resources in addition to health insurance, dental insurance, FSA, and 401K with employer contribution.
