We are looking for a board-certified Internal Medicine specialist to join our team! We want to meet you at the crossroads of internal medicine and dermatology pet care.

Established in 2021, Petderm (Calgary Pet Dermatology Centre) marked the realization of Dr. Becky Valentine’s DVM DACVD vision. After 15 years dedicated to Calgary's community, Dr. Valentine identified the need for empathetic allergy care. Petderm is a privately owned practice, supported by a dedicated team of six, and revered by clients and referring veterinarians. Our clinic's mission is to offer premier medical care driven by integrity and compassion to benefit both pets and owners. In the clinic, we have a Stortz endoscope tower offering the infrastructure for GI scoping, biopsies, joint taps, bone marrow biopsies, etc.  Diagnostic imaging will be attained on an outpatient basis at a tertiary care facility.

Petderm is looking for a part-time to full-time Internist to collaborate with. You have an interest in the nutritional management of systemic disease, food intolerances, inflammatory bowel syndromes, immune-mediated disease, and complicated but stable endocrinopathies.

Our vision is to offer medicine in the middle ground between primary veterinary and urgent care. Internal Medicine as a new addition to practice would provide consultation and multi-modal management to our existing patients receiving care for their systemic disease. This position and clinic structure are unconventional, yet there is a real unique opportunity to offer expertise in the medical management of Internal Disease. We see a new venture in the veterinary space for expertise in the long-term medical management of chronic disease, endocrinopathies, and geriatric patients with comorbidities.

All factors are negotiable for the right candidate: time off, days in the clinic, compensation, and equity. We are looking for the right fit over anything else. We value the positive, supportive, and efficient culture we have created.

Let’s chat about the vision of the clinic with this collaborative approach.
