Horizon Veterinary Specialists is a privately owned and rapidly growing, fast-paced emergency and specialty hospital located in beautiful Ventura, California. Horizon was founded in August of 2018 by five board certified veterinarians who want to inspire positive change in the veterinary community, for their patients and for all the incredible professionals who dedicate themselves to veterinary medicine. Along with a state-of-the-art facility, Horizon has an array of advanced medical equipment including endoscopic equipment, a superb ultrasound unit, small mobile ultrasound and the ability to perform CTs. Horizon is focused on positive, inclusive, and educational culture.  The Horizon Partners have built a team of kind-hearted, dedicated and motivated professionals to serve each other, our patients and the community.  

Horizon is growing quickly, creating an opportunity to expand our Internal Medicine Department with the addition of a devoted, inquisitive board-certified or residency trained Veterinary Internist.

Our current Internal Medicine team consists of three board-certified Internists. With their collective experience of 52 years, our internal medicine veterinarians are a great, supportive resource and companionable team for any eager, board-qualified veterinarian or any seasoned, board-certified internist to join. We have flexibility with our IM expansion, and we are open to discussing full-time or part-time positions.
