Job Details

Veterinary Care and Specialty Group is seeking a Board-Certified or Residency Trained Cardiologist to join one of the largest emergency and referral hospitals in the southeast region.  Interesting case-work and the team to support you!

WHO WE ARE:  

VCSG is an emergency and referral hospital located near downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee. In addition to our 24/7 Emergency Service, VCSG offers Surgery, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Cardiology, Oncology, Anesthesiology, Radiation Oncology, Veterinary Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, I-131, and Critical Care services.    

Our staff includes Board Certified Surgeons, Internists, Neurologists, Cardiologist, Medical and Radiation Oncologists Anesthesiologist and Criticalist.    

As of the winter of 2024, VCSG stands as the largest emergency and referral hospital in the southeastern region, situated near downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee. Our comprehensive range of services range from 24/7 Emergency Care, Orthopedic and Soft Tissue Surgery, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Cardiology, Anesthesia, Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Physical Rehabilitation, I-131, as well as Critical Care services.

Within our state-of-the-art facility, we have invested in cutting-edge diagnostic equipment, including ultrasound, digital radiology, CT scanning, and advanced laboratory resources. VCSG's main ER hospital features an in-house 1.5 Tesla MRI, current utilization of a cone-beam CT, with a 128-slice CT scanner expected to be in operation by the spring of 2024. We are equipped with a C-arm, hyperbaric oxygen chamber, high-flow oxygen ventilation, and a long-term ventilator to ensure the highest standard of patient care.

The Cancer Center serves as a central hub for various departments within our facility, encompassing critical areas like medical and radiation oncology. It is home to our new Varian 2024 Edge Linear Accelerator, representing a significant leap in our treatment capabilities.  Our blood bank will also undergo an expansion to meet the demands of our local community.

This center will also house our physical rehabilitation department, featuring an above-ground pool, underwater treadmill, multiple laser units, and Shockwave therapy equipment -collectively offering a comprehensive spectrum of therapeutic options. With available space for future departments, we plan to incorporate ophthalmology and dermatology in the coming months.
