Cardiologist Needed - Florida

The Veterinary Medical Center at LWR is a privately owned hospital in Lakewood Ranch, FL.  We are located about 1 hour south of Tampa and very close to the cities of Sarasota and Bradenton, FL.  Our hospital contains a busy General Practice as well as a 24/7 Emergency and Specialty service.  We are in the process of a 12,000 sq foot expansion to house our Specialty Center.  We are looking to add a Cardiologist to our team.  As a privately owned practice, your input is important to us, and we can add new equipment and make changes quickly when they are needed.  The Cardiology service will support our emergency department as well as patients referred from our General Practice and our local veterinarians.  Our General Practice consists of 6 full-time doctors, and our Emergency and Critical Care service consists of 10 full-time doctors, including two Criticalists.  Our Critical Care team is amazing and can be there to support you when advanced monitoring and medical care is needed for your patients.

Our new Specialty Center will house new equipment and additions, including 13 additional exam rooms, surgery suites, CT, hyperbaric and more.  We are actively recruiting specialists with a goal to have a complete specialty team in the near future.   In late 2021, we opened the VMC Animal Blood bank which is a fully functioning in-house blood bank run by our Critical Care team.  

Schedule:

*  A part-time or full-time schedule is available ranging from 3 to 5 days per week.  

Compensation:

*  Salary + production of 26%.  We anticipate the need for Cardiology services at our facility will grow very quickly.  We are offering an extremely competitive base salary and production package.
