Partner Veterinary is seeking a veterinary neurologist (board-certified or residency-trained) to join our new Emergency and Specialty hospital located in Richmond, VA We are seeking team members who are eager to join our team and mission of healing the veterinary profession!

Our leadership team has a reputation for building and retaining happy and healthy teams and founded Partner Veterinary to give more professionals the optimal environment to do the job they love.

Building from the ground up, we opened the first women-owned and led veterinary emergency and specialty care practices in Frederick, MD and Richmond, VA in 2023.

We are seeking a full or part time veterinary neurologist for our Richmond, VA location.  We are looking for individuals who are interested in collaborating with the entire hospital team and desire to take an active role in shaping the neurology department and practice in a sustainable, engaging way.



Position Summary 

As a Partner Veterinary neurologist, you will utilize your unique expertise to diagnose and develop treatment plans for patients with neurological diseases or disorders. With our team-centered approach, continual collaboration with the ER and other departments is necessary to both provide and receive support. Daily responsibilities will vary but may include a blend of scheduled appointments (including imaging, procedures, and/or surgeries) and consults from other departments, including the ER. 


Our 20,000 square foot reimagined building and team design includes:


  • Conscious and deliberate building design layout that encourages interdepartmental communication and collaboration
  • Have a voice at the leadership team level
  • Collaborate with Emergency Veterinarians and specialists in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Cardiology, Oncology and Critical Care.

Building and Equipment:

  • In-house lab equipment
  • Digital radiology
  • Digital cytology
  • Emergency ultrasound
  • Multi-parameter anesthetic monitoring equipment
  • Ample and fluid and syringe pumps within each department
  • Smartboard technology
  • Integrated EMR and digital treatment sheet software
  • GE 1.5 Tesla MRI
  • GE 16 slice Helical CT Scanner

Job Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
  • Board-certification or residency-trained in Neurology
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Virginia and/or Maryland
  • The ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members and pet families
  • A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics
  • Clinical experience in emergency medicine or general practice, or completion of a rotating or specialty internship
  • Professional demeanor and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude
  • Support for new graduates who have commitment to continued professional development and mentorship.
