Upstate Vet Emergency + Specialty Care in Greenville, SC is seeking a Medical Director to join their growing team!         We currently offer Dentistry, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Neurology, Emergency and Critical Care, and Surgery. We have all the best equipment and technology to enable you to practice the highest quality medicine, but what really sets us apart is the team environment in which we operate.        The Medical Director's primary responsibility is to ensure the delivery of high-quality, compassionate, and comprehensive veterinary care to our patients, while maintaining a positive, professional, and supportive work environment for the veterinary team. The Medical Director is responsible for upholding the mission, vision, and values of the organization within the hospital. The Medical Director works in close partnership with the hospital director to ensure the hospital’s success by acting as a medical subject matter expert, overseeing the entire medical team, and driving operational excellence. A Medical Director must maintain awareness of advances in veterinary medicine and take part in yearly CE in topics related to hospital leadership, management, or training and development. In most hospitals, between 25-75% of the MD’s time will be assigned to primary clinical duties and the remainder will be assigned to administrative duties (*varies with hospital size/complexity).        We strive to provide the highest quality of care for our patients while maintaining an appreciation for “quality of life” for our entire team.
