Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists is seeking a Director of Specialty Medicine to join and lead our current team of specialists. 

The CCVS specialty team includes a range of boarded veterinarians who practice high-quality medicine in a busy environment, focusing on patient, client, and referral community care. We have a strong culture of education, showcased by our well-established in-house technician training and CE program, rotating and specialty internships, and residencies in ECC and surgery. 

Our current specialties include: 

Cardiology 

Diagnostic Imaging

Surgery

Exotics

Internal Medicine

Anesthesiology

Dermatology

Experience work-life balance with a two-day/week clinical schedule and a two-day/week administrative schedule. We offer competitive compensation with additional production-based bonuses.

Responsibility and Functions                                       

  • Leadership, management, and accountability of the veterinary specialists team

  • Maintain a consistent standard of care across specialties

  • Specialty Recruiting - interviews, recruiting events (15% of time spent traveling to conferences/events)

  • Clinical case responsibility with 50% of the time as a clinician within your specialty

  • Manage specialty departmental budgets and specialist compensation

Education Qualifications

  • Diplomate of the American or European College of Veterinary small animal clinical specialties

Experience Qualifications

  • More than 3 years post-residency in clinical small animal practice

  • Managerial experience preferred
