Small Animal Internist

Pinnacle Veterinary Specialists (PVS) is seeking a board-certified Internist or an individual residency trained in Internal Medicine to join our team. PVS is a 24/7 emergency/specialty practice in Glen Mills, PA whose mission is to create a medicine first, patient first culture as a veterinarian owned hospital. We seek to create an alternative option for veterinarians in the corporate dominated specialty market in Philadelphia. This alternative affords the freedom of autonomy to make on the ground decisions without layers of management. The Internal Medicine service is currently composed of a boarded Internist with sixteen years of clinical experience, a VTS Internal Medicine certified nurse, and a CVT with nine years of clinical experience. Our Internists will work as a team, discussing difficult cases and covering each other’s patients when one doctor is out of the hospital so that days off can truly be spent focusing on family and your world outside of the hospital. The Internal Medicine Service works closely with the other teams in the hospital to take care of the patients and support each other.

Our facility, which opened in August, 2021, has Emergency/Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging (5-day a week ultrasound coverage) and Cardiology. We also have flexible endoscopes, a bronchoscope, rigid scopes for rhinoscopy and urogenital evaluations, a GE 16 slice Lightspeed CT machine, and a mobile GE 1.5 Tesla 16X MRI unit.

PVS is located in Glen Mills, PA which is a southern suburb of Philadelphia. Glen Mills is a growing area and home to popular stores such as Costco, Wegmans Market, Whole Foods and several modern outdoor malls. In addition, both Main Line Health and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia have built new large facilities as the community is becoming a medical destination. There are farm country options just south of us in beautiful Chadds Ford and Kennett Square as well as more suburban environments in West Chester and the Main Line.  The location is also about 40 minutes from downtown Philadelphia. Unionville/Chadds Ford, the Main Line and West Chester/Downingtown are home to some of the best schools in the state.
