Philadelphia Animal Specialty & Emergency (PASE) is a privately-owned 24/7 Emergency and Specialty hospital located in the heart of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We are seeking a full-time or part-time, board-certified or residency-trained Internal Medicine Specialist to join our collaborative team.
Our team includes: two criticalists, two neurologists, two surgeons, an anesthesiologist, internist, oncologist, and radiologist (5-day a week ultrasound coverage), along with a 24-hour emergency department. We are committed to delivering compassionate care and practicing the highest standards of veterinary medicine for our patients and clients. We prioritize education, offering a range of in-house training for our support staff and CE lectures for our referring community.
Our facility is equipped with two surgical suites, a dedicated imaging room, CT, 1.5T MRI, ultrasound (Aplio i700), digital radiology, in-house lab equipment, emergency ultrasound, and multi-parameter anesthetic monitoring equipment. We are proud of our strong reputation with referring veterinarians and foster a positive, supportive workplace culture for our dedicated team of doctors, technical staff, and management.
Our Internal Medicine service is currently composed of a boarded Internist with over 10 years of clinical experience who is supported by a full team of experienced and passionate technicians and assistants. Our Internists will work as a team, discussing difficult cases and covering each other’s patients when one doctor is out of the hospital so that days off can truly be spent focusing on family and/or other life pursuits and passions! Having the ability to disconnect, rest, and recharge is an important part of our culture. The Internal Medicine Service along with all other service teams work closely together to care for and support each other's patients and clients to provide exceptional care.

Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional care to patients.
Collaborate with others specialists and primary care veterinarians to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care for our patients.
Work closely with our nursing staff and support team to provide outstanding service and communication to our patient’s families.
Contribute to the advancement of veterinary medicine through participation in continuing education, research, and teaching opportunities.
Foster an environment of respect, trust, and mutual support among all members of our healthcare team.
Requirements:
Board certification in Small Animal Internal Medicine (ACVIM or ECVIM) or completion of residency training with eligibility for board certification
Licensure in good standing to practice in Pennsylvania
Commitment to practicing high standards of medicine and adhering to the veterinary code of ethics
Commitment to continuing education and professional growth
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Positive attitude, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset
