About VSA
Our mission at Veterinary Specialist Aotearoa (VSA) is to provide the most advanced, specialist veterinary care in the country. With that motivation, hard work and passion we have established ourselves as New Zealand’s leading specialist veterinary organisation. VSA was started over 20 years ago with the first privately owned veterinary referral hospital in New Zealand. From that first hospital in Mt Albert, Auckland, we now have 3 world class specialist referral hospitals across the country working to support the wider veterinary community and their patients. Every patient we see is regarded as an important member of their family so we are proud to be able to provide the highest level of care when they need us the most.

About New Zealand

Known as the "Garden City," Christchurch offers a picturesque backdrop with stunning parks, gardens, and the majestic Southern Alps in the distance. Boasting an international airport, reputable schooling system, and access to world-class healthcare, Christchurch provides residents with convenience and peace of mind. As the largest city in the South Island, it also features a vibrant cultural scene, a burgeoning tech industry, and a welcoming community. Here, in the gateway to the South Island, you'll find a perfect blend of urban sophistication and natural wonders, offering a lifestyle that combines the best of both worlds. The Position

With the autonomy to build and develop the service, we are committed to providing robust support throughout the process. Enjoy 4 day work weeks that fosters a better work-life balance and increased employment satisfaction.
As part of your role you will be able to influence the recruitment of specialists, shape the nursing team, and contribute to the design of intern and residency training programs for this service.
At VSA, we are a collective team of veterinary experts, where our enthusiasm, motivation, and commitment to excellence resonate throughout the entire organisation.
