Who we are at Timberline: 

Timberline Veterinary Emergency and Specialty (TVES) is a locally owned 24-hr emergency and specialty hospital located in Seattle, WA. founded by Dr. Beth Davidow (DACVECC), Dr. Laura Ahlgrim and Dr. Chris Bailey in 2023. We believe that veterinary medicine is best when it is controlled by those that provide it and our mission is “Leading through exceptional veterinary care and sustainable employee ownership.” Our PEAK principles of patient care, engagement, accountability and knowledge growth guide how we make decisions, respond to challenges and direct the growth of our hospital. We are committed to continuous improvement in the veterinary care that we provide our community as well as finding ways to make veterinary medicine sustainable for our team. We have an amazing team of talented staff, incredible staff retention and are looking to expand our specialty team. We currently have Critical Care and Surgery, along with outside support for histopathology (located inside of our building) radiology/ultrasound and cardiology. We occupy a 14,000 sq building and are undergoing a renovation and expansion with installation of a CT unit, chemotherapy hood and oncology work areas.  

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for an Oncologist that wants to create the premiere Oncology service at Timberline. This role involves participating in hospital rounds, managing an oncology service with both direct ER transfers and primary consultations, along with working collaboratively with our referring veterinarians and the Timberline team to provide exceptional veterinary medicine. The ideal candidate would be excited to be involved in the selection of the Oncology team and help develop the service within our hospital. We are looking for an individual that loves to learn and is constantly challenging and changing practices based on new evidence. With additional specialty support, we hope to expand our ability to perform clinical trials at our facility, further train and support our VTS aspiring LVTs and continuously improve on our in-hospital protocols.

• Unlimited continuing education, $3000 for CE travel allowance per year and an additional 4 days of PTO for continuing education. This money and time can be used for seminars, journals, books, or medical equipment and can be carried over for one year.
• Payment for ACVIM, WSVMA, and AVMA dues
• Payment for DEA and Washington State License
