Veterinary Specialty Center of Sarasota is seeking a full-time board-certified Internist or ACVIM residency-trained veterinarian to join our state-of-the-art specialty hospital in sunny Florida! We currently operate as a specialty surgical, rehabilitation and imaging center. We are expanding our services to internal medicine, emergency medicine, critical care, and additional services in the future. We are looking for an energetic, personable individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills to become a valuable member of our amazing veterinary team!
We are in the process of constructing a 16,000 square-foot multispecialty facility to expand what we Our current facility includes dedicated orthopedic and soft tissue ORs, fluoroscopy, 16 slice CT scanner, flexible and rigid endoscopes, diode laser, ultrasound, oxygen cages, SmartFlow patient monitoring, digital radiography, full in-house laboratory capabilities, and a rehabilitation facility with therapeutic ultrasound, UWTM, Shockwave, stance analyzer, and Companion class 4 laser. The expansion will include an interventional radiography suite, dedicated internal medicine treatment room and fully equipped treatment area and ICU. This is a unique opportunity for to create an Internal Medicine Service centered around your unique interests. We value a cooperative team-based approach with other departments. An interest in interventional radiography procedures is highly desired but training is also availabale. An interest in training is also desired for a rotating internship program. There is a significant demand in the region with ample opportunity to quickly build a stable caseload.
Veterinary Specialty Center will become the only privately owned multi-specialty veterinary hospital on the Gulf-coast of Florida south of Tampa. Our facility will be exclusively focused on specialty and emergency medicine with no primary care.
