Who we are:
Red River Animal Emergency Hospital & Referral Center is independently owned and has been serving North Dakota, Minnesota, and South Dakota communities since 2005. We are North Dakota’s only 24/7 emergency hospital, who over the past few years expanded to provide our specialists with their dream space to practice. Our current specialists consist of two boarded criticalists, a residency trained surgeon, a boarded internist and a boarded oncologist. Our busy ECC service is composed of two criticalists and 13 experienced emergency veterinarians, backed by a great support staff and management team. By having owners who work in our hospital, it gives our leadership team a great perspective on how to support our staff and to make sure a good work-life balance is provided. Our hospital owners and leadership team want our doctors to practice how they want and make sure they have any and all the support, equipment, and staff they need to run their department.

Our newly remodeled and expanded hospital has all the bells and whistles including a large ICU, 4 surgery suites, extensive in-house lab, bedside oxygen, multiple Snyder O2 units, 16 slice helical CT, advanced ultrasound and echo services, hemodialysis and plasmapheresis capabilities, high flow nasal oxygen, mechanical ventilator, GI endoscope, and our own blood bank. The two-story specialty center has 8 additional exam rooms, new GI/rhino/urinary scoping equipment, laparoscopy, hemodialysis suite, and our digital x-ray system that include wireless DR plates for mobile/intraop use. Anything else our specialists require or need for their department, we will provide!

Who you are:
We are seeking a driven Internist (residency-trained or already boarded) to join our Internal Medicine department. We want you to help us continue to create, build, and evolve a service with the enthusiastic support of the entire team here at RRAEH. The next nearest specialty hospital is 3 hours away, so there is a strong caseload and our community is in need of your expertise. Work-life balance is important, so on-call would not be required (no afterhours, no Holidays or weekends). Interest in abdominal ultrasound is encouraged and would be highly beneficial, but not required as our current internist and criticalists are highly trained in abdominal ultrasounds and echocardiograms. Our owners also encourage any specialists with interest to join the ownership group, affording you a unique opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a rapidly growing multi-specialty center.
