Cerro Alto Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Hospital is seeking a Small Animal Cardiologist to join our dynamic team at our brand-new specialty and emergency hospital in beautiful San Luis Obispo County!

Our doctors will have access to 128-slice CT, fluoroscopy, digital radiology, ultrasound, arthroscopy, laparoscopy, and endoscopy.

Position Overview
We are seeking a Small Animal Cardiologist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a compassionate, skilled professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to advancing veterinary medicine.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat a variety of congenital and acquired cardiac conditions.
- Perform and interpret ECGs, echocardiograms, and radiographs.
- Collaborate with referring veterinarians to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Work alongside emergency and specialty veterinarians to provide multidisciplinary patient care.
- Educate pet owners on diagnosis, treatment options, and long-term care.
- Contribute to the development and growth of our specialty department.
Qualifications
- DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a residency program in Small Animal Cardiology.
- Board certification (or board eligibility) by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM), Cardiology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
