King Animal Hospital is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Small Animal Oncologist to join our multi-disciplinary team!

 

You will play an integral role in establishing and growing our Oncology Centre of Excellence, working collaboratively with a team of experienced specialists, Registered Veterinary Technicians, Animal Care Attendants, and Client Services Representatives. Your expertise will directly impact the lives of our small animal patients, providing cutting-edge cancer treatment and compassionate care.

King Animal Hospital is a new, privately owned, 60,000 sq ft Equine and Small Animal Multi-Specialty Referral & Emergency Services Hospital located on 50 acres in King City, Ontario, Canada, just minutes from downtown Toronto.

You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team of approximately 180 staff members, including Board-Certified Specialists in:

Small Animal Orthopedic Surgery Small Animal Soft Tissue Surgery Equine Surgery Internal Medicine Critical Care Neurology/Neurosurgery Anesthesia Dermatology Ophthalmology Cardiology Emergency Services Rehabilitation We foster a supportive, patient-focused, and collegial work environment where specialists collaborate to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Advanced Diagnostics & Equipment

At King Animal Hospital, we utilize state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment technology, including:

3T MRI (GE) for small animals 1.5T MRI (Siemens) for equine patients CT-Scan with a robotic arm for equine (Universal Medical System) GE 128-slice CT scan for small animals Scintigraphy, C-arm, and Fluoroscopy Ultrasound and Digital Radiography High-flow oxygen and mechanical ventilation ECG, laser therapy, and hyperbaric chamber for wound healing.

Our Rehabilitation Centre includes:

Three canine hydrotherapy treadmills A canine rehabilitation pool An equine hydrotherapy treadmill Laser therapy (Companion Class IV) 6000-square-foot indoor equine ring

About You & How to Apply

Our ideal candidate is an experienced Board-Certified (ACVIM-Oncology or ECVIM-Oncology) Veterinary Oncologist. We also welcome Residency-Trained candidates eligible for board examination.

Qualifications:

Licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Veterinarians of Ontario (CVO).

A team-player attitude with leadership skills to help train and mentor interns and technicians

Excellent customer service and communication skills to build lasting client relationships

Strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
