Rocky Vista University (RVU), a nationally recognized health sciences institution, seeks an entrepreneurial and visionary leader to serve as the founding Dean of its innovative CollegeofVeterinaryMedicine.BasedinBillings,Montana—oneofthefastest-growing communities in the Mountain West—the Dean will establish and lead a state-of-the-art veterinary medicine program dedicated to advancing animal health, workforce development, and community engagement.
KeyResponsibilities
TheDeanoftheCollegeofVeterinaryMedicine will:
LaunchandguidethegrowthofanewDoctorofVeterinaryMedicine(DVM) program, shaping curriculum and academic culture from the ground up
Recruit,develop,andempowerahigh-performing,collaborativeteamoffaculty and staff committed to innovative teaching and scholarship
Fosteramodern,inclusivelearningenvironmentleveragingadvanced technology, simulation, and clinical training
Build strategic partnerships with veterinary practices, industry, and community stakeholderstoaddresscriticalveterinaryworkforceneedsandenhancestudent opportunities
ThesuccessfulcandidatewillhaveaDVMdegreefromanaccreditedinstitutionand either a PhD or board certification. They will also have a distinguished record as an associateorfullprofessoratawell-regardedhighereducationinstitutionandhavea demonstrated record of the following:
Administrativeleadershipandstrongbusinessacumen,includingexperiencewith strategic planning and budgeting.
Successinoverseeingacomplexacademicorganization,includingmanagement of academic, operational, and administrative elements, preferably in a College/School of Veterinary Medicine.
Developmentofhigh-qualitycurriculumandacademicprograms,withafocuson student experience and student learning outcomes.
