The Opportunity
Cladda is seeking a board-certified (or board-eligible) Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist to join our specialty team. This is a chance to build and shape an internal medicine service within a supportive, well-equipped emergency and specialty hospital — working alongside emergency clinicians, and other specialty services to deliver high-quality, coordinated patient care.

What You'll Do
Manage a caseload of complex medical patients, including endocrine, gastrointestinal, renal, hepatic, hematologic, infectious, and immune-mediated disease
Perform and interpret advanced diagnostics (ultrasonography, endoscopy, cytology, etc.)
Collaborate closely with our emergency team on shared and transferred cases, and with other specialty services on multidisciplinary cases
Build and mentor a technical support team dedicated to internal medicine
Participate in client communication and referring veterinarian relationships, serving as a resource for the local DVM community
Contribute to case rounds, mentorship of emergency clinicians, and ongoing development of hospital protocols

Requirements

What We're Looking For
DVM/VMD (or equivalent) with completion of an accredited internal medicine residency
Board certification with the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (DACVIM) preferred; board-eligible candidates encouraged to apply
Strong clinical, communication, and collaborative skills
A team-oriented approach and interest in helping grow a new or developing specialty service
Active or eligible veterinary license in Virginia
