Beacon Veterinary Specialists – Fremont, California
Compensation: Up to $2,500 per day plus travel and meal stipend
Schedule: Flexible (part-time or full-time coverage available)
The Opportunity
Beacon Veterinary Specialists is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Internist to provide locum coverage during August and September 2026.
The Internist will be supported by Beacon’s established Internal Medicine team, including veterinary technicians and support staff, allowing you to focus on patient care and case management.
We are open to a variety of arrangements, including individual weeks, multiple weeks, part-time, or full-time coverage. Whether you are available for one week or an extended assignment, we would be happy to discuss a schedule that works for you!

Qualifications
- Board-certified or residency-trained in Veterinary Internal Medicine
- Eligible to practice veterinary medicine in California
- Comfortable independently managing Internal Medicine consultations, diagnostics, procedures, hospitalized patients, and case follow-up
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
